Marlaina Dauncey (alias @Marsdrawn) is an Ottawa based freelance illustrator and painter. Her medium of choice is gouache. She has over a decade of experience in traditional and digital mediums.

Her subject matter typically revolves around nature, plants and animals. Marlaina is an avid bird watcher, gardener and naturalist. She practises both drawing from the mind and drawing from life, resulting in a stylized yet detailed technique.
